How to do Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose) and Its Health Benefits

Gomukhasana or Cow Face Pose is sitting pose of yoga and little hard to do this pose but beneficial for serious specific problems including all sexual problems for both Men and Female. All benefits are mention below in detail.

How to do Gomukhasana and its steps

Before starting, please watch the Gomukhasana video for more understanding then read the following steps carefully, so you don’t make any mistake.


  • This is difficult to explain this pose in words so watch the full video carefully.
  • You can bend your knees in many ways as shown in the video.
  • When you bend your knees and come to sitting position make sure your both knees place proper and upper knee touch with lover’s knee.
  • Now Sit Eract no bend in your back and neck.
  • Move your upper leg side hand from above the shoulder and lower leg side hand under the arm and lock with fingers as shown in Image.
  • Now breath gently and hold the position for some time.
  • After come to normal position take rest and repeat the same position with another leg. (Now lower leg come upper and upper comes down + Change Arms position)
  • Focus on your breath and body always.

Hold the Gomukhasana position for Minute and repeat same with other Leg. Breath gently during the Pose.

Gomukhasana is not the easy pose so you need time and practice for doing this pose. May in starting you are not able to sit properly upper knee does not touch with the lower knee.You are not able to lock your fingers behind back So reaching your hand as much you can reach without bending back and neck.

In starting do not force too much for attaining the proper position just go with your body capability. You attain flexibility slowly. Maybe you can feel little muscles in starting for 4-5 Days.


Who don’t do

If you have knee injury then concern with your doctor.


Don’t perform immediately after the meal (Food). Take 2-3 Hour rest after the heavy meal. 1/2-1 Hour after light Meal like fruits or 15-20 Minute after 1 Glass of Water. Don’t take Meal for 30 Minutes after performing Yoga.


You don’t get the immediate result, continue this at least two weeks.You may not be comfortable in starting Because your body needs time to adopt this Pose. If after 2 Weeks you feel any specific problem in your Body then stop doing this Pose.

You can feel light pain or tension in your thighs for the 1st week. It’s good sign mean this exercise do work. Start with less.
